Excellence. For the last six months, ROR has worked in conjunction with UCPA to
construct a radiation therapy department from the ground up. UCPA began treating

the entire continuum of care for their patients while offering them state of the art
treatment modalities such as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image
Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT).

IMRT is an advanced form of external beam radiation therapy that specifically
targets the prostate gland while sparing other nearby critical organs from the
potentially harmful effects of radiation. With IMRT, a physician can deliver an
increased dose of radiation to the prostate while minimizing the dose to the
adjacent rectum and bladder. With ROR, urologists can tap into the latest protocols
and treatment modalities to ensure that their patient care is second to none.
